COE DCOS JFD visits the NATO M&S COE - NATO Modelling & Simulation Centre of Excellence

Rome, Italy. On May 9th 2019, Major General Stefano V. SALAMIDA, the Supreme Allied Command Transformation’s Deputy Chief of Staff for the Joint Force Development (DCOS JFD), honored the NATO Modelling & Simulation Centre of Excellence with an official visit.

Col. Michele TURI, the NATO M&S COE Director, welcomed Maj. Gen. Salamida, along with Maj. Gen. Angelo PALMIERI, Chief of the Italian Joint Staff – C4I Transformation Division.

The NATO M&S COE presented the Centre’s organization, capabilities and main current and future projects to DCOS JFD, and updated him on the NATO M&S COE’s new strategy and business model. These strategic documents help the Centre be more adaptive to NATO and its Nations’ M&S needs.

The Centre then demonstrated several of its ongoing M&S projects, including some in the areas of autonomy, cyber and urbanization.

Maj. Gen Salamida expressed his gratitude for the interesting visit and his appreciation for all the work done by the Centre’s staff.
