Concluded the 5th Edition NATO Exercise Support, M&S Integration Specialist Course

The NATO M&S Centre Of Excellence (NATO M&S COE), in cooperation with the NATO Joint Force Training Center (NATO JFTC) and with the support of the NATO Communications and Information Agency (NCIA), conducted the 5th edition of the NATO Exercise Support, M&S Integration Specialist Course.

The course was held in the presence at the “De Cicco” barracks in Cecchignola.

The purpose of this NATO approved course, which included students from four different nations, is to provide a wealth of knowledge focused on NATO training activities and how the federation and integration of C2 systems, as well as integrated simulation systems, can be used to support activities at the joint operational level. The highlight from this year’s course was the presence of students belonging to the NATO Joint Force Training Center located in Poland.

This unique course supports the Training & Education pillar of the Centre. This course was conducted within the Centre due to its highly technical and hands on requirements.

Colonel Stefano Lo Storto, the NATO M&S COE Director, stated during his introductory message: “The Exercise Support, M&S Integration Specialist Course provides instruction to prepare the NATO and National CAX specialists to be part of a Response Cell of a NATO exercise. In the end, you will be able to use the tools often found in a response cell and assist others to successfully execute a CAX event”.
