NATO ACT Chief of Staff Visits the NATO M&S COE
Rome, Italy. On January 25th 2019, Vice Admiral Paul Martin BENNETT, the Chief of Staff to the Supreme Allied Commander Transformation (COS ACT), honored the NATO Modelling & Simulation Centre of Excellence (M&S COE) in Rome with an official visit.
His visit comes soon after General LANATA, the NATO Supreme Allied Commander Transformation has discussed the value of modelling and simulation at several NATO events.
Col. (ITA A) Michele TURI, the NATO M&S COE Director welcomed Vice Adm. Bennett, along with Maj. General (ITA A) Angelo PALMIERI, Chief of the Italian Joint Staff – C4I Transformation Division.
The NATO M&S COE introduced VAdm Bennett to the Centre, its mission, capabilities and current and future projects. VAdm Bennett was also informed about the NATO M&S COE’s Strategy updates and given demonstrations of several research projects and capabilities.
In a presentation of a national M&S capability, Brig. Gen. Fabio GIAMBARTOLOMEI, the ITA Army Artillery HQ Commander discussed their Combined Arms Exercise “Medusa.”
Vice Adm. Bennett expressed his gratitude and appreciation for the M&S COE’s activities in support of the Alliance.
