11th NATO M&S COE Steering Committee Meeting
The 11th meeting of the NATO M&S COE Steering Committee took place on 30 and 31 May 2018 in Rome, Italy. The meeting brought together representatives from all the Sponsoring Nations of the NATO M&S COE – Czech Republic, Germany, Italy and United States of America as voting members. Additional representatives from the NATO M&S COE, Germany and the United States of America participated as advisors.
This meeting included the welcome of a Canadian representative now that Canada has become a new Contributing Partner to the M&S COE. After finalizing the Technical Arrangement in Norfolk a few weeks earlier, the Canadian Armed Forces began providing one Non-Commissioned Officer (NCO) to the NATO M&S COE staff on 1 June 2018.
During the meeting, the SC examined the progress of the Program of Work for 2018, status of the 2018 budget, the Medium Term Financial Plan from 2019-2023, and received an update on Requests for Support (RFS) received since the 2018 POW was approved in December 2017.
The next Steering Committee Meeting will take place on 20 and 21 November 2018 in Rome.
